Colorado Ranchers vs. Washington Wolves đŸș

This week, the U.S. House passed Rep. Lauren Boebert’s Pet and Livestock Protection Act to remove gray wolves from the Endangered Species Act — a clear signal that Congress is paying attention to what’s happening on the ground in Colorado.

Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum didn’t mince words, warning Gov. Jared Polis and state lawmakers that Colorado is “prioritizing wolves over American ranchers.” After wolves were released with little warning — and even re-released from packs known to kill livestock — patience in Washington is wearing thin.

Coloradans narrowly approved wolf reintroduction in 2020. Today, we’re already seeing the consequences for ranchers, rural families, and livestock producers who are paying the price for a program that continues to ignore real-world impacts.

This debate isn’t going away. The Senate is up next — and Colorado’s leaders should listen before decisions are taken out of their hands.
